The Arya Vaidya Sala anchors the town — a working Ayurvedic hospital, research institute and pharmacy that draws visitors from across the world, just a short walk from the villa. Its campus also holds a celebrated Kathakali academy and a small museum of Kerala's classical arts.

I stayed at Sankara Stays for three weeks with my family while my father was undergoing an Ayurvedic treatment regimen at the Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala. Finding an independent, fully air-conditioned 3-BHK villa with a fully functioning kitchen was a blessing. The traditional architecture of the house is beautiful and has so much character. Booked this beautiful 3-bedroom villa for a family gathering in Kottakkal, and it exceeded our expectations. The entire house is fully furnished and kept spotlessly clean. Having AC in all three bedrooms meant everyone stayed comfortable throughout our stay. The master bedroom has a lovely balcony, and the gated private parking easily fit our two cars. Booking directly with the host over WhatsApp was seamless. Will absolutely book again on our next trip to Kerala.
